Leading global, clubbing super-brand Cream launches the next instalment of award winning compilation series Cream Ibiza along side international superstar Laidback Luke & his Super You&Me party brand.
Cream Ibiza needs little introduction as one of Ibiza’s biggest nights for over 17 years, bringing the world’s biggest DJ’s to millions of clubbers. This year is no exception with heaps of talent lined up, not least Laidback Luke with his high adrenalin Super You&Me, super hero themed, fancy dress parties, sure to create a massive new buzz for Ibiza.
Cream, Laidback Luke and Super You&Me have teamed up for five exclusive events launching on Thursday 7th July and carrying on throughout the summer on 28th July, 11th August, 25th August and 8th September. Hold tight for an Ibiza rocket ride!
Laidback Luke has carved out a huge name for himself releasing a slew of monster club tracks and crossover hits, most noticeably the UK top 5, Robin S - Show Me Love remake single along side Steve Angello. His current single Turbulence with US rock & rave merchant Steve Aoki and king of crunk, Lil Jon, is already smashing BBC Radio 1 with spins from Scott Mills and Fearne Cotton to name a few. His remix credits read like a who’s who of pop having retouched the likes of Black Eyed Peas, David Guetta ft. Kelly Rowland, Robyn, Dizzee Rascal, Calvin Harris, Wynter Gordon and Christina Aguilera.
Super You&Me has taken the world by storm, with residencies across the globe, Laidback Luke has created one of the most exciting club concepts of recent years. With party people encouraged to dress up as their favourite super hero alter ego. Super You&Me is focused on fun and friends first, with a class A line up to match. Ibiza 2011 is no exception featuring top artists such as Fake Blood, Wolfgang Gartner and Congorock plus live PA’s from Example, Wynter Gordon and Grace Regine, Super You&Me in Ibiza looks set to blow Amnesia’s dance floor apart!!
The Cream Ibiza Laidback Luke Super You&Me reflects Luke’s own productions but also some of his biggest remixes. Highlights include album exclusive ‘Speak Up’ by the man himself, alongside Luke’s hot new single Turbulence with Steve Aoki & Lil Jon, Dizzee Rascal – Holiday (Laidback Luke Remix), Wynter Gordon – Dirty Talk (Laidback Luke Remix) plus an exclusive Laidback Luke remix of the classic Alice Deejay – Better Off Alone, which is set to be a summer 2011 anthem all over again!
Luke also shows his unique live mix-mash-up skills, packing in specials such as The Chemical Brothers, cutting and creating an unexpected floor buster by chopping up Bingo Players with Bel Biv Devoe, reworking Michael Woods with Delerium and Steve Angello with Corona’s huge euro-hit Rhythm Of The Night.
Round the above off with a selection of some of the biggest club smashes around taking in everything from dance legend Ferry Corsten – Punk (Sidney Samson Remix) to dubstep scene leaders, Nero - You & Me, which add up to make Cream Ibiza Laidback Luke Super You&Me the most unique dance mix of 2011.
Cream Ibiza Laidback Luke Super You&Me perfectly captures the new sound of Cream Ibiza and if you can’t visit the White Isle this summer then this album is a must-have for your CD player / iPod!!

FEED ME - TO THE STARS EP...
Feed Me returns after his Beatport top 10 dominating ‘Big Adventure’ EP with yet another aptly named ‘To The Stars‘ EP. Including four hard hitting, breath taking and expertly produced tracks due for release on deadmau5′s mau5trap label.
He teams up again with the mesmerising vocals of Tasha Baxter for ‘Strange Behaviour’ – an anthem in it’s own right that will overrule your speakers with resonating bass riffs and chunky beats, not to mention the unforgettable, catchy vocals.
‘To The Stars’ combines Feed Me’s signature acid bass lines with more cleverly programmed synth hooks and spine tingling breakdowns. He adds a quirky intro to ‘Pink Lady’ then straight into rattling bass and noises you would have never even heard of on tracks previously to this.
When you thought Feed Me couldn’t deliver anymore we are blessed with ‘Chain Smoker’ – a track to keep feet stomping and heads blown on any dance floor.
Feed Me yet again takes us on one of his spectacular journeys through musical genius and what better label to play host than deadmau5′s globally dictating mau5trap. Hope you all enjoy.

MODESELEKTOR ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM...
Modeselektor have recently been all over the internet, for the re-launch of their 50 weapons label, a following compilation, the signing of Dark Sky for his next EP - and now, the Berlin based duo have announced that they will be releasing a brand new album later in the year.
Featuring collaborations with Thom Yorke, Busdriver, PVT and Anti-Pop Consortium, it looks set to be another heavy hitting and warmly eclectic album, from the guys who brought you 'Happy Birthday' some years ago. The album will be released through Monkeytown Records – the other and more productive label over recent years responsible for releasing the latest Siriusmo album - and will share the same title as the label.
‘Monkeytown’ will be released on October 3rd through the label of the same name. More details to follow in the coming weeks.

ES VIVE OFFERS FIRST AID FOR BOOGIE FEET...
This has NOTHING to do with Michael Woods's club banger...
Although, a Mojito in Es Vive's pool, whist listening to 'First Aid' on repeat, would certainly make me forget about my red raw feet & put me in the mood for rockin' out!
Ibiza’s iconic Hotel Es Vive have announced a new addition to their services this summer: fish pedicure for tired boogie feet.
The concept of the fish pedis, courtesy of London’s biggest Fish spa Anesis, is to sit back and have the tiny fish doctors nibble away at your feet removing dead skin, making them feel smooth and rejuvenated and ready for the dance floor once more. As the ultimate pampering experience for our often neglected friends, which we manage to squeeze into tight shoe-wear and get trampled on weekend after weekend, it sounds like music to our ears.
For more details head to Es Vive now.

Aeroplane Biog...
You fly with Aeroplane once, you don't forget it. In just three years, theItalian-Belgianduo have established themselves as party-starting DJs, remixers du jour -with their spacious cosmic-disco re-rerubs of Grace Jones (William's Blood), Friendly Fires (Paris) and Sebastien Tellier (Kilometer)- and, via their own piano-sprinkled melancholic beauties like Caramellas, leaders of thenu-disco and Balearica scene. So Aeroplane's debut album, We Can't Fly, arrives with sky-high hopes. Now that our appetites have been whetted by those brief, tantalising excursions, what delights await us on their maiden long-haul flight'
Plenty, it turns out. Recorded in Toulouse, Paris, London and Los Angeles, We Can't Fly (co-produced by Bertrand Burgalat), is a grown up, dazzlingly accomplished record that showcases not just a passion for stately, soulful disco and early 80s electronica, but a lush and bittersweet set of influences that stretch from Abba and film soundtracks to Floyd, the Stones and the Italian crooners that Vito Deluca's mama played him in his Brussels youth.
Aeroplane is now a one-man operation, Vito having amicably parted company with his bandmate Stephen Fasano. Not that we should be alarmed. 'There are worse things in life!' says Vito. 'Stephen's gonna do music on his own, I'm gonna do music on my own. I'm the studio guy, he was more the DJ so when the music became more important, the more I was alone in the studio. The future of Aeroplane was this album and I wrote it and played every instrument.' The two are still on good terms: 'He's picking me up tomorrow at the airport. I'm probably going to produce the stuff he writes in the future and I'm not going to have a word to say about it!'
Flying solo has given Vito the chance to flex his classically trained musical muscles: 'We've been put in the dance music category but I'm a songwriter, that's what I know how to do. I wanted to go back to proper pop music, not being forced to do nine-minute tracks so the DJ can mix in before and after.' Aeroplane have never been at the mercy of traditional bpms, and being free of 'the dancefloor pressure' has given Vito additional license to slow things down and look around. 'I'm at my best at 105bpm,' he says. 'That's the speed where I make the best music. You can do more, there's more groove, more feeling.'
He's not kidding. Take We Can't Fly, the languid, showstopping anthem-to-be with which Aeroplane kicked off their landmark 500th Radio 1 Essential Mix at Circus in Liverpool earlier this year. Laying gospel harmonies over Compass Point-era Grace Jones reggae, blissed-out Rimini keyboards and kiddie vocal samples, it's handsome proof that dancability and musicality don't have to be mutully exclusive. It's going to sound rapturous live, when Vito and an expanded on-stage line-up play Aeroplane's first dates later this year.
Being let loose in a proper, bells-and-whistles studio for the first time has been something of an eye-opener. 'I've been recording in my bedroom for my entire life so it sounds a million times better,' says Vito. 'I was totally like a kid in a sweetshop.' The results are spectacular - and at times intensely cinematic. The widescreen, string-splashed Mountains of Moscow is the soundtrack to the best Eighties blockbuster you've never seen, while London Bridge and Point of No Return are mini-epics of spiralling Floydian guitar riffs and plaintive Tangerine Dream synths. 'That's my dream actually, writing scores for movies,' says Vito. 'For me the Rocky soundtrack is at the same level as Dark Side of the Moon, it's the same kind of perfection.'
Another mighty inspiration was Giorgio Moroder, whose gleaming electronic scores for Scarface and Midnight Express fed into the vintage disco stylings of My Enemy and the propulsive, piano-led Superstar, which Vito describes as 'Moroder meets Canned Heat'.
The raucous, razor-blade rock of I Don't Feel features the formidable vocals of Merry Clayton, who backed Jagger on Vito's favourite Stones song, Gimme Shelter. 'There was always this black chick singing at the end and I never knew who she was. I also had this amazing soul-funk record by a girl called Merry Clayton. Then one day they played Gimme Shelter on the radio and the DJ explained that it was Merry singing. I lost the plot and said we have to try everything we can to get her.' Get her they did, and Clayton wraps her arena-sized lungs around squalling Bowie-ish riffs to impressive effect. 'She killed the song, it was amazing.'
The roster of guest singers is impeccable. Nicolas Ker, the frontman of French italo-disco outfit Poni Hoax, adds a sullen elan to Fish in the Sky, an electro torch song worthy of Human League, while dream-pop outfit Au Revoir Simone breathe delicate harmonies over the woozy ballad We Fall Over, and London's Jonathan Jeremiah transforms Good Riddance into a low-slung slice of honky-tonk soul.
Perhaps the most ear-catching turn comes from the precocious LA teen-vixen Sky Ferreira on Without Lies, a cover of a song by the Belgian screen star Marie Gillain. The 17 year-old Ferreira takes obvious relish in delivering suggestive lines like 'When I eat cake I prefer the cherry'. Vito picked her because 'we needed a young voice but kind of sexy too. It's like an angel and a demon in the same body.'
It's a breathtakingly diverse collection of songs, but what runs through all of them is that wistful Aeroplane trademark, what Vito calls 'sad happiness'. It's something he learned from the Italian pop maestros so beloved of his mum, men like Lucio Battisti and Adriano Celentano. An exquisite, bittersweet state that's neither overly dark nor simplistically happy. It's the Aeroplane way - wake up and smell the kerosene.

CREAM CHATS TO LAIDBACK LUKE...
As one of the biggest DJs on the planet, Laidback Luke is renowned for his monster tracks and ‘roadblock’ performances. Recently, he’s worked with David Guetta, Diplo, Steve Aoki and Lil Jon, and remixed everyone from Black Eyed Peas, Robyn to Tiesto and Moby. He’s sold out his own brand Super You&Me parties in Miami, Amsterdam, London, Germany and will be continuing the party’s run of success when he hosts his first SuperYou&Me Arena at Creamfields. All this while continuing to release music via his own label, Mixmash Records and still finding time to give the next generation of music makers a leg-up through his forum, at www.laidbackluke.com.
We caught up with Luke in the midst of his hectic schedule to discuss his plans for Creamfields, what tracks to look out for this Summer and how he created his new compilation for Cream Ibiza.
You’re hosting your very first SuperYou&Me Arena at Creamfields. When we walk into the Arena what can we expect to see and hear?
I’m bringing the Ibiza experience to Creamfields. My Super You&Me experience. The fun, the energy, the euforia. I’m bringing my favorite DJs around the globe to my area too. We should all feel like heroes stepping into the Arena!
Have you sorted your superhero costume out yet?
Yes I have! And they are hilarious too. I’m still thinking of going as Bruce Lee once too. It will be very easy for me. I’ll just go topples and will write three stripes on each side of my chest ha ha.
Why SuperYou&Me, where did the concept come from?
I felt a lot of the dance music experience was getting to be too cool. I was wondering where the fun had gone. I remember having stupid fun with my friends being the best nights out. The anticipation of dressing up, or at least actively being aware of what you will look like going out adds to living up to a night too. I always have had a weakness for comics and superheroes. And hell, always wanted to be one too! Now I have the best excuse to actually feel and dress up like one!
Will you be in the Arena all day or are you going to have a walk around the festival?
I’ll try to be there the most I can! Honestly though, I’m probably flying from somewhere without sleep and leaving early the next day again. But I’ll represent for sure. On the other hand though, the line up of Creamfields is a killer this year. Everyone is talking about it. I should walk around too ha!
Every year your audience at the festival grows, do you get nervous stepping out to 20,000 people?
Not really. It’s just excitement. And the rush that comes with grabbing 20,000 people by the balls. That’s how I roll behind the decks. You&Me should have the best party ever, let’s go for it!
It must be overwhelming at times?
Only when I stop and think about it. A good time for that is always after my performance. I sometimes compare it with good sex. I step off the stage and will go like: ‘God, that felt good!’. Best feeling in the world!
Have you ever been to any festivals socially?
It’s been ages, but yes back in the day I did. I did quite some partying as a teenager. That’s why I fell in love with this music. Unfortunately, with my schedule (200 flights a year, and a 150 shows), it gets really hard to have spare time to do anything else really.
Tiësto and Sebastian Ingrosso have turned up to watch you perform many times before, is it important to have support from your peers?
Been thinking a while about this question. And although I’d love to say it doesn’t really matter, it actually does! Tiësto’s love for our style of house music is also because we are all friendly and supportive to one and another. House music was always like that. The feeling of one love. It should remain like that, and yes, having support from your peers means the world!
Do you feel under pressure DJ’ing in front of them?
Yes kind of. These are all professionals yo! People that operate on the same level. And although they’lll probably not judge me the way I judge myself, I do keep in mind that they are watching over my shoulder too ha.
What are going to be the big ‘Summer tunes’ this year?
That’s a good question! I don’t know yet really! I mean Swedish House Mafia tracks are always big and the Example/Michael Woods ‘Changed The Way You Kissed’ me is absolutely massive at the moment. Let’s see at the end of the season though.
Tell us about Wynter Gordon, how did you start working with her?
I basically started working with her after doing the remix of Dirty Talk. Her label Atlantic/Big Beat and I got closer and started to do demos. She’s an amazing human being. And a killer performer and singer too. To me she should be the next big thing as we need amazing human beings like that on top!
Tell us about your new album for Cream Ibiza?
It’s a little Laidback Luke two hour energy package to celebrate the summer. I’m happy and honored to do it with Cream as a lot of my summer evolves about us working together.
Which CD matches your personality the best?
It’s a continues mix of two hours so I’d say the both of them. I really put my imprint on there.I feel a good DJ should always try and bring his own signature sound and feel. This is one of the things I try to advice new talent too.
How did you set out choosing tracks for the album?
It always starts with making a huge wishlist of your favorite tracks you want on there and try to reach out to the record labels to get clearance to legally use them for the CD. Before starting the mix I’ll have a selection of at least fifty tracks to choose from.
How did you put the album together?
I tried to put a bit of everything in there. My main quality, and what I think makes life interesting,is variation. Variation makes you love the thing you start with good. For instance, the music I love mostis house music. But after doing it for twenty years now, I sometimes get bored listening to it for over and hour. When I switch it up to Dubstep, or to a genre of house that’s not that close to me, it’s all aboutthe return to my sound after that that counts. It feels refreshing again.
What’s your favourite track on the album?
Such a tough question! As I put so many favorites on there! I absolutely love that Nero Me and You track. Such a next level song slash dance slash pop slash energy kind of track. Me and You was my inspiration to make Speak Up for instance. I’d say my remix of Alice Deejay pretty much covers the whole Super You&Me feel. The crazy stupid fun and the energy. Guaranteed for a great time!
There’s a lot of your own production on there, any plans for an artist album?
I always say I’ll do an album if there’s the demand for it. I could easily do one as I make music very quickly. However I don’t feel the time is right yet.
If you were hanging up your headphones and playing your final ever set, what would be your closing track?
Amazing, what a great question! A very tough one though. I actually hope it never happens!
Have you got any collaborations on the cards this year?
Yes I sure have. My two new singles with Ministry of Sound will have some great singers on them collaborating with me and after that I have a collaboration ready to go with Sander van Doorn.
What’s next for you? Do you have a 5 year plan or go with the flow?
I do go with the flow, every year we try to step it up a little though. It’s definately a goal to still be around in five years and to rock it as hard as I do now.
What’s been your biggest achievement professionally and personally to date?
Professionally doing an official remix for Daft Punk for ‘Crescendolls’ as I’m such a huge fan. Entering the world DJ top 20 was a good look to my family too. They finally got it lol! But the best is yet to come, that keeps me going too. Personally my best productions every, my two sons and finding a new way of living my life last year. A non pressured personal life with renewed energy for life where my music is an intergral part of it.
What’s your advice for aspiring DJs?
Make music, work harder and practise a lot. Stay humble and friendly to everyone. Always be open for criticism but do keep fully believing in yourself. Try and bring something unique, set yourself goals and never ever give up!
Also, visit my forum as it’s a breeding ground for new talent.
What is your first clubbing memory?Dancing and losing my mind to Westbam’s ‘Mayday’ and realising this was the music I’d forever want to dance too.
What music do you listen to aside from dance music?
Anything from classical music to rock. As I’m clasically trained as well, I just love music in general.
If you could send a message to all of your fans, what would that be?
It would be a thank you message. A massive one. You make me to who I am and I’m happy we can share parties and memories together for years to come!
And finally finish this sentence, Creamfields is…
Going to blow your face off, mark my words ; )
Laidback Luke headlines the SuperYou&Me Arena at Creamfields on Sunday 28th August Bank Holiday weekend.

PARIS HILTON VS AFROJACK?..
Here we thought that, like any heiress with an insatiable ego and money to burn, Paris Hilton’s promises/threats to make a ‘house music’ album were just flippant little nothings that would never eventuate to anything. Shame on us it seems, as somehow the wheels continue to spin on Hilton’s diabolical dance plans.
While we previously reported that French house hitmaker David Guetta was Paris’ producer victim of choice it now looks like the heiress has moved on to Dutch house prodigy and frequent Guetta point-man Afrojack to give her some club cred.
As announced in a story by The Hollywood Reporter, Afrojack has at least considered working with Hilton on her music saying that he met with her about the collaboration.
“She was pretty cool so we’ll see,” Afrojack said before adding a condition to their partnership; “I’m not going to do a pop song with Paris. If I do something with her, it’s going to be real.”
Phew. Don’t worry you guys, it’s going to be 'real'.
Anyways... You'll have to keep me updated, as on the day it's released ill be playing dodgeball with a porcupine.
Peace
x

DEADMAU5 TEARS THE ROOF OFF AMNESIA...
On June 23rd, deadmau5 played Cream Amnesia, headlining the Mixmag terrace.
I saw a review written on www.ibiza-spotlight.com by Kelly Thorpe that made me chuckle for obvious reasons…
"
deadmau5 headlines Cream's second party of the summer…
Cream is one of the craziest and busiest parties of the summer in Ibiza, and this week was no exception. I was especially excited tonight as Deadmau5 was making a special appearance, and he is a DJ I’d been wanting to hear live for years.
Attending a Cream party is probably one of the best people watching experiences that exists. Crazy antics, wild clothing, and creative stories people tell insisting they are on the guest list are just a few of the things I witnessed tonight. As an American myself, I also picked up on the fact that an unusually high amount of clubbers tonight had come from America compared to the numerous other parties I've attended in the past month that I've been living in Ibiza.
At 4 am I entered the club to finally discover for myself if Deadmau5 would live up to all the hype that has been generated about him. As I made my way through the completely rammed club to get to the terrace the first thing I observed was signs posted throughout Amnesia informing people of the smoking ban now in effect in Ibiza’s clubs, which many people were definitely ignoring. Finally, I had reached the stage just as Deadmau5 began his set. I noticed he was wearing a T-shirt that said “high on life”. Could this be in response to all the rumors last summer that his many canceled tour dates were caused by excessive drug use?
I didn’t know what to expect from Deadmau5 as his sound has definitely changed over the years from house to recently more breaks and dubstep. I was pleasantly surprised to hear much of his set was infused with the sounds and music from his older album Random Album Title, including “I Remember”, “Faxing Berlin”, and “Alone With You”. The wildly popular “Ghosts N Stuff” was also played, as well as his recent hit “Raise Your Weapon” from his latest album 4x4=12. The surprise of the night was an edgy live performance by singer Sofi.

I'm back!
I just wanted to apologise for not being on here for quite a while, things in my life have been quite messed up lately and I've had a lot of things to sort out and try to fix. I just needed a bit of time to myself to get my head and my thoughts straight again so I can carry on with my life. I just haven't felt like blogging at all recently and to tell the truth, I haven't been out that much or even bought anything that's worth sharing. I did lose interest in blogging for quite some time but I'm slowly starting to get back into the swing of things again and I'll be making a few small posts soon. I'd also just like to say a BIG hello to my new followers and a BIG thank you to Grace (Glitter & Carousels) for being here for me and supporting me when I needed someone the most! I love you all.
TODDLA T, FRESH PRODUCTION AND COLLABORATION MIXTAPE...

Featuring names from Cleo Soul to Buggsy and Cloud to Toyface, Toddla has been experimenting and pushing the challenging barriers of music production at the Studio's.

DRUMS OF DEATH MINIMIX...
Hear that? It’s the sound of the weekend. With its frantic 808 drum patterns and angry synth stabs, get right into shape with this exclusive Drums of Death minimix.
http://soundcloud.com/drumsofdeath4eva/black-waves-ep-promo-mix/s-zIlBJ
So, who is Drums Of Death?
Drums Of Death is the alter-ego of Colin Bailey, a Scottish musician. Drums Of Death emerged from London’s club scene in early 2008 and after Joe Goddard from Hot Chip and Alex Waldron heard a tape of his music they signed him to their record label and party crew: Greco-Roman. Stories quickly began to emerge in the press that he was cursed by some voodoo magic and had his heart cut out and replaced with a broken drum machine. Whilst keeping his real face a secret with black and white paint and refusing to answer rumours about this curse he performed on stages around the world from Los Angeles to Bangkok, to London to Berlin and everywhere in between.

Rockness. Renowned as being one of the most beautiful festival sites in the world, situated on an incredible backdrop of the loch, Rockness is quick becoming that hidden gem in the festival calendar that is not to be missed!
Rockness took place between the 10th -12th June in the village of Dores, close to Inverness in the Scottish Highlands with an undisputed atmosphere found nowhere else.
We managed to get some footage of the fest in action, Laidback Luke rockin’ the mainstage.
Just so happened the Dutch superstar was donning some clobber I happened to recognise..

ELECTRIC ZOO FESTIVAL NYC ANNOUNCE THEIR FINAL ADDITIONS...
New York’s Electric Zoo festival– a three day festival in a beautiful park on the outskirts of New York City, on a secluded island – has just released its final-line up additions.
Taking place between September 2nd to 4th, at Randall’s Island Park, there’s been some blistering talent added up to the lineup for the 2011 edition of the festival, who’ll be joining mainstream headliners such as David Guetta, Armin van Buren and more.
On the Friday, the Main Stage has added BT Laptop Symphony. Meanwhile, Carl Cox & Friends Take Over Sunday School add Josh Wink and The Martinez Brothers, and the Red Bull Riverside Stage add Egyptrixx and High Contrast.
Saturday will offer more Main Stage action from Daedelus, Sidney Samson will be joining the Hilltop Arena lineup, and SBTRKT will join the Red Bull Stage. Finally, on the Sunday, John Dahlback will enter the Main Stage alongside Brainfeeder’s TOKiMONSTA. Red Bull will also add Dirty Smart fave Michael Woods and Jaytech on the final day.
So if you live in the City or will be heading over on this weekend, make sure you attend this festival to make the annual Labor Day Weekend celebrations go off with a resounding thud!
As Randall Island suggests, it’s an actual island and transportation to the festival by boat, ferry and other means is fast running out. Get in there quick and snap up one of the few remaining festival and travel bundles while they’re still here. So to get those all important packages, and for more information, head to- www.ElectricZooFestival.com

NEW SANTOGOLD ALBUM ENROUTE...
While the singer known as Santi White has been flying under the radar since the release of her debut album in 2008 – Santogold as it was titled before her name-change – it looks like we’ll have something new to sing along to this Autumn.
Speaking to Billboard about the album’s preparation Santigold confirmed that she’d brought in a number of choice collaborators including Dave Sitek of TV On The Radio, Greg Kurstin of The Bird And The Bee and one half of Major Lazer, Switch.
“By December of 2010, I thought I was finished. I was like, ‘I’m done!’” Santigold said of the lengthy production process behind the new record. “I never really had the experience of labels and stuff, because last time I made the record and then got a deal…I didn’t have to deal with people talking about singles and stuff before I was even done the creative process. That was new, and annoying. So for the last six months I’ve been trying to tie up loose ends and do a couple more songs. At the end of the day, nobody will hear anything but things that I feel 100 percent are great.”
While we wait to hear some new music from Santigold’s next record you can cop her track with Beastie Boys, Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win, as remixed by Major Lazer right here:

Throughout this time winners will share their remixes online and get the public voting for their favourite. Then, at the end of the Hacienda program, the student with the most overall votes and support for their remix will go on to be crowned winner and be awarded the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Sasha on his next release!
