MAJOR LAZER VS NO DOUBT...
No Doubt – the band who rose to prominence throughout the noughties bringing us that album Rock Steady - have been causing a stir in the Twitter-sphere almost certainly validating the rumours that they have been working alongside Diplo and Switch (as part of their Major Lazer project). Gwen Stefani and the No Doubt troupe have long been influenced by the ragga and dancehall sounds hailing from the Jamaican shores and there are hints that this will be the premise of the bands work with Major Lazer as they are equally know for heralding the reggae soundsystem culture.
No Doubt’s Twitter feed certified speculation about the collab as yesterday their guitarist Tom Dumont wrote “We’re working on 3 different songs 2nite in 3 different rooms in the same studio complex, all at once... @majorlazer in one of those rooms. Cutting drums with Adrian [their drummer] at the moment.”
