SANKEYS CELEBRATE PAST AND PRESENT...

With Spring in full swing it’s time for reflection at the Sankeys camp as this weekend’s antics represent the marriage of the club’s past, present and future, celebrating the promoters from way-back-when and the freshest on the scene. On Friday night this favoured Manchester haunt turns its attentions to an imprint that’s been making its hearty and indelible stamp on the underground music scene of late, namely Night Slugs. With the Bugged Out! events first appeared at Ancoats Mill back in the ‘90s, centred around the euphoric days of acid house, both past and present are to be celebrated this Friday with the Night Slugs troupe in full force, label playmates L-Vis 1990, Bok Bok, Girl Unit and Jam City will be cooking up a storm with a very special live performance from the producer behind that stellar album Bible Eyes, Egyptrixx.

Let’s fast forward to Saturday evening and we’re seeing a totally different affair as Sankeys raises its glasses to the beginning of the Ibiza summer season. With Sankeys Ibiza opening this May – the 2nd of the hopeful ‘Seven Sankeys of the World’ ahead of the New York Opening this winter - there’s high spirits. The Italian talent that is Monza will be headlining before heading out to the White Isle for the Opening party, Iranian techno fiend Nima Gorji joins household name OD Muzique for a momentus evening.
